A Prayer for Educators
Our Great and Kind Father,
In the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we thank You for the women and men who teach and serve our children and young people and for those who oversee and support their efforts.
May our educators be ever aware that their students are made in Your image. Therefore, they are worthy of respect, patience, kindness, encouragement – and when necessary – discipline.
We pray for strength and courage for our teachers amid stress, anxiety, and feelings of inadequacy.
We ask that they find great joy and satisfaction in their role of helping shape the lives of future generations.
Lord, we are concerned with the people, organizations, events, and social movements that would work evil in our children’s lives. Give grace and wisdom to educators whose consciences and livelihoods are threatened by the march of godlessness in our nation. May they rise with confident humility to stand on Your Word, walk in Your way, and persevere in what is right.
Lord, we know that educating our children can be an underappreciated calling, so please prompt us often to offer a listening ear to our educators and practical help in whatever way we can.
