Along with her dad and her two older siblings, Hallie begins a painful search for healing and stability in the midst of the deep and aching loss of her beloved mother Susan. It won’t be an easy quest; that’s why Susan left a trail of clues for Hallie to follow in her journey toward peace and restoration, a trail filled with Hallie’s favorite flower, the dandelion. But the trail of dandelions did not begin at Hallie Benson’s front door. In fact, that trail of summer snow started long ago, thousands of miles away in Nicaragua. In this portion of her story, Hallie finds herself at the beginning of that trail, walking in the footsteps of a family of missionaries serving in Central America. And along the way, Hallie, as well as her readers, discovers that big miracles often begin with childlike faith as tiny as a dandelion seed.

About the Author:

As a child, Joy Lucius loved climbing a tree and hiding out with a good book. So it is no wonder she taught literature and creative writing for 23 years. But her love of the written word took a new direction in 2017 when she became a staff writer for AFA Journal. Joy is happily married to Randy, her high school sweetheart, and they have two grown sons, six grandchildren, and three American bulldogs.
